BSDS is a  non-government development organization which endeavours for socio-economic uplift of the great majority of the rural and urban poor communities.

BSDS is registered under the Department of   Social Services  of the Peoples` Republic of Bangladesh.  Registration No. Farid - 354 and Join Stock Company registration no. S-3992(94)/2004. BSDS started its development initiative in 1997 in Faridpur district of Bangladesh.

BSDS introduced with prime goal to assists the rural and urban poor people to arrange themselves in groups for their socio-economic uplift in the locality. BSDS is taken a multi-sectored socio-economic development program, which are implementing motivation and group formation, agriculture & social forestry, good governance & legal aid, health , handicrafts ,education, micro enterprise development, poultry, livestock & fisheries, water & sanitation, micro Credit and ETRM Program, digester management and training. BSDS is doing to make poor people more conscious by implementing its primary development activities emphasizing as the foremost need and importance. BSDS has always supported and implemented demand-driven programs for hardcore poor rural and urban beneficiaries over the 9 years of its involvement in human resource development and is still holding the same sprit in its ongoing mission.
