The problem of drinking water supply & sanitation is crucial for the people in Bangladesh but people know it's not a problem for them because maximum people have not properly valued drinking water. It's a wide practice of Bangladeshi's common people. To reduce the incidence of water born diseases, BSDS arranged motivational works and hardware support for safe use of water and sanitary latrines for proper disposal.

Main components of Sanitation program are:

* Awareness development

* Establish village sanitation center (VSC)

*Provide credit support

The arsenic contamination of the ground water of BSDS working area is very high. About 65% of sallow tubewell is affected with arsenic poising. Many people are already suffering with deferent symptoms of poisoning; some of them turn to grade-2 cancer. BSDS is implementing arsenic mitigation project in Sadar upazilla of Faridpur district.

Main components of arsenic mitigation program are:

* Awareness development programs with different stakeholders.

* Arsenicosis patient management

* Set up different alternative water options.
